Learn to create a pattern from a favorite garment and make your own version. Alternately, adapt a commercial pattern.

6 week workshop on  Tuesdays, 

from 3:30 to 4:45

You will learn how to use and thread a sewing machine, measuring, pinning, cutting, ironing, hand stitching while making 3 projects that will allow you to flex your creative muscles.

Included in the cost of the class: Use of machines, tools and fabric to create a stuffed toy, drawstring bag, and a pillow in a small  personalized class environment.

Sewing Basics:

Using and threading sewing machine. Types of seams and finishes. Fitting and making a skirt, or pajama pants. Following a pattern, measuring, pinning, cutting.

Included:

Use of machines, tools, fabric for practice stitches.

Not Included:

Fabric for skirt or pajama (bring your own woven fabric- 1 ½ yard for skirt or 3 yards for pajama and 1” elastic ( or purchase from Sew Artsy Inc’s basic supply
